First Step... PRAY FOR THEM

The first step in bringing a friend or family member to Christ is not to talk to them, but to talk to God for them. First we pray. One of the best tips I have heard on prayer is, "PRAYERS NEED NOT BE LONG, BUT THEY SHOULD BE SPECIFIC". The power of a specific prayer is that it fires the heart of the one who prays, as well as moving the hand of the One who answers prayer. Name five people in your life who are lost without Christ. When did you pray for them by name?

Today, pray for 5 people, by name, trusting that as you pray God is working in their hearts. When you pray for someone by name, asking specifically for God to rescue them from hell, your heart will begin to glow with the heat of God's compassion. No, prayers do not need to be long, or fancy, or prayed by a pastor. Prayers need only be sincere, and specific. Today, pray specifically for your friends, and please pray for FRIEND DAY, March 5.
